Biographical Notes:

Aubrey E. Golden practiced as a general counsel in a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation until January 2002. His clients included trade unions and professional associations, including teachers' federations, engineering, construction and broadcasting organizations, Indian and Inuit organizations in constitutional and aboriginal rights litigation, the National Farmers' Union and and many other representative bodies.

He has acted as counsel in a significant number of leading constitutional and administrative law cases, many of which have reached the Supreme Court of Canada.

He has practiced in all ten Canadian provinces as well as Nunavut , and has been a member of several provincial bars.

Aubrey mediates litigation matters in a broad range of areas including employment law, environmental disputes, public interest, defamation, aboriginal and general human rights cases. Experience has demonstrated the usefulness of mediation as a successful alternative to litigation in these cases.
