Biographical Notes:
Cindy Winer’s corporate career includes over 20 years of claims management experience within the insurance industry. She held the position of Vice President, Life and Health Claims for a major insurer and has a wealth of knowledge concerning life, disability and accident insurance issues and processes. In her role as an executive leader, she also facilitated the resolution of claims disputes and workplace conflicts. In 2008, she launched her mediation and consulting practice.
In her consulting practice, she provides career transition services, coaching individuals to create and refine their career search strategy. In addition, she provides disability claims management consulting services, assisting clients to develop and implement solutions.
Cindy demonstrates objectivity, empathy and is results-oriented. As a mediator, she draws upon her blend of corporate and consulting skills to help people resolve their insurance, workplace, commercial and community disputes.
Cindy Winer has also been appointed a Roster Mediator for the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program.
Education:
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. In 2007, she received a Certificate in Advanced Dispute Resolution from York University. In 2008, she completed the Civil Procedure Workshop through the ADR Institute of Ontario and the Interpersonal Mediation Workshop through Conflict Resolution Service, St. Stephen's Community House. In 2010, she attended the Employment Law and Conflict Management Workshop offered by the ADR Institute of Ontario.

Cindy serves on the Marketing, HR and Roster committees and is a past Board Director for the ADR Institute of Ontario. She also volunteers as a community mediator for Scarborough Conflict Resolution Service.
