Biographical Notes:

Gus Richardson is a member of both the Ontario (since 1984) and Nova Scotia (since 1990) bars, specializing in mediation, arbitration and med-arb, with a special interest in commercial, insurance, labour and condominium disputes. He is currently an alternate Vice-Chair of the NS Labour Relations Board, and an adjudicator for the Small Claims Court of Nova Scotia. He has taught a business law course at St Mary's University, and for the past many years has been a guest lecturer on costs at the Dalhousie Law School. He now practices as a full time mediator, arbitrator and med-arbitrator. He is also consulted frequently on motor vehicle, professional liability and product liability issues. He has given presentations and insurance seminars to insurance bodies on all aspects of litigation. He has published a number of papers on a variety of legal issues in such journals as the Canadian Bar Review, the Advocates' Quarterly and Carswell Practice Cases.
