Biographical Notes:
Guy had over twenty-five years of labour relations experience before becoming an arbitrator/mediator; first as a union representative then later as a labour relations consultant in both Ontario and Western Canada. This experience included negotiating and administering collective agreements and advocacy at arbitration, labour board and workers compensation board hearings. As well he represented parties at harassment hearings. The consulting work also involved the participation in job evaluation studies and job evaluation arbitrations. In addition the experience has included serving as a nominee on numerous boards of arbitration (both grievance and interest) as well as for two years serving as a part-time member of the Ontario Crown Employeesâ Grievance Settlement Board. Employment Insurance appeals at both Board of Referees and Umpire hearings is also included in this experience.
Guy became an independent arbitrator/mediator in 2000. He has since received numerous individual arbitration or mediation appointments and been named in a number of collective agreements. As a result he has conducted numerous arbitration or mediation hearings and issued awards. In addition Guy has been appointed to investigate and report on harassment complaints.
Education:
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies,
University of Guelph. Also took a number of courses in the Master of Industrial Relations degree programme on a part-time basis at the University of Toronto
This has been followed by numerous shorter courses, workshops and seminars in arbitration, expedited arbitration, negotiations, labour law, and workers compensation over the past years both as a participant and an instructor.

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION |
Rates: Fee for 1 hearing day and preparation of award approx. $2,000.00 plus expenses. Additional days are at approx. $2,000.00 per day.
Payment: Please Call For Details.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation fee: less than three weeks $250.00, less than two weeks $500.00, less than one week $1,000.00
