ADR Organizations & Professionals Across Canada & USA
Canada has established a reputation for being amongst the most forward thinking countries in the world in terms of its advocacy of Alternative Dispute Resolution, as a means of minimizing expensive and often futile litigation.

Following is a list of many of the premier ADR organizations, with whom ADRWeb has worked in the past.


ORGANIZATION WEBSITES
 
The Arbitrators Association of British Columbia is the major independent association of professional arbitrators operating in BC. Membership is limited to professional arbitrators who have met experience requirements, and are committed to the Association's code of professional conduct and standards. The AABC website can be found at  www.labour-arbitrators.bc.ca
 
The Atlantic Labour Arbitrators Association is an online community of qualified and active arbitrators operating throughout the Atlantic Provinces. Membership in ALAA is limited to professional arbitrators, most of whom are qualified lawyers, who have met experience requirements, and are active in the field of labour arbitration. Formed in 1997, YorkStreet Dispute Resolution Group Inc. of Toronto pulled together a panel of experts in arbitration and mediation, with expertise in insurance, personal injury, estates, corporate/commercial, real estate, employment and medical disputes. A number of prominent Yorkstreet mediators and arbitrators are recognized on our Ontario roster. The firm website can be visited at www.yorkstreet.ca
 
Mediate BC is a not-for-profit organization that leads, promotes and facilitates mediation and other collaborative dispute resolution processes throughout the province of British Columbia. We are committed to providing British Columbians with practical, accessible, and affordable choices to prevent, manage and resolve disputes. Visit the website at www.MediateBC.com 
The Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society is Alberta's largest and well-respected  professional organization for mediators and arbitrators, with over 500 members throughout the province. It provides education and information to its members and the general public on solving disputes more effectively, and retains responsibility for candidates to the national organization for the "Chartered" designation of mediators and arbitrators. Professionals in Alberta wishing to register with ADRWeb must first be a qualified and current member of this organization.

America's leading mediators and arbitrators
The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is an association whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution, and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution. 

Membership is by invitation only and all Academy members have been thoroughly reviewed and found to meet stringent practice criteria. Members are amongst the most in-demand neutrals in their respective states, as selected by both peers and local litigation firms. With over 600 charter members throughout the United States, the NADN is America's largest professional association of top-tier neutrals. Visit the Academy website at www.NADN.org 

 

Our Florida Society at www.FloridaMediators.org is the definitive roster of the best established ADR attorneys in the state. As of January 2010, more than 200 of the 5000 state certified attorney-mediators in the state of Florida were inducted.

The California Academy of Distinguished Neutrals is a statewide organization whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil dispute resolution. Membership is limited to California neutrals who have substantial experience in the resolution of commercial & civil disputes, and who have been recognized for their accomplishments through the Academy's peer-nomination process.
