Biographical Notes:
 Arbitrator since 2003. Appointments to a variety of disputes in the private and public sector. Named arbitrator in various collective agreements in the federal and provincial sectors. Chapter author for a major rewrite of Palmer's Collective Agreement Arbitration in Canada (LexisNexis). Chair, Board of Directors, Occupational Health and Safety Agency in Health Care for B.C. (2008 to present). Past Vice-President and Director of the Canadian Council of Administrative Tribunals. Past Chair and Program Coordinator of the Circle of Chairs in B.C. and member of the Advisory Committee for the Administrative Justice Project, Ministry of the Attorney General of B.C.
Chief Negotiator for the Government of Yukon for the transfer of health services to the Government of Yukon and First Nationsā organizations (1991 to 1993). During the years 1986 to 2000 practiced labour law, disability law and law related to broader health issues. Active at all levels of the courts and tribunals including argument before the Supreme of Canada (Douglas Kwantlen Faculty Association v. Douglas College [1990] S.C.R. 570).
Various education sessions related to labour arbitrations, including the B.C. Business Council and the Canadian Labour Congress. Also, spoken on various occasions on issues relating to administrative justice.
Quasi-Judicial Appointments:
Part-time: Public Service Staff Relations Board (Canada, 2003-2006; 2007-2012), the Yukon Public Service Staff Relations Board (2004-2007), the Yukon Teachers' Staff Relations Board (2004-2007); the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunal (B.C., 2005-2006) Public Representative, Discipline Committee, Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (2006-2009) and B.C. Labour Relations Board (2006-2007). Full time: Chief Appeal Commissioner, Workers' Compensation Board of B.C. (2000-2002).

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION |
Rates: $250 per hour: Actual costs are billed for disbursements. Travel time beyond Greater Vancouver (i.e., Chilliwack or Prince George) may be charged at fifty percent of my hourly rate.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation fees depend on notice given by the parties and the availability of other work to fill the vacancy. Please contact our office for the costs of specific cases.
