Biographical Notes:

Enlightened Dispute Resolution marks the culmination of a lifetime of study and experience by attorney, author, real estate developer, business owner and life coach, Leslie Kleiman. Leslie started her career as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. After two years, mediating countless disputes and trying seven unfair labor practice trials Leslie joined the boutique labor law firm of Jacobs, Burns, Sugarman and Orlove in Chicago where she became a partner and remained for twelve years trying hundreds of arbitration cases, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and representing clients in federal court litigation. In 1993 Leslie moved to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, after founding a real estate development firm in Chicago called South Side Developers. For the next fourteen years Leslie served as Vice President and General Counsel. Her duties included managing tenant and employee relations, hiring, supervising and firing employees, drafting lease agreements, negotiating with lenders and governmental agencies, and supervising and coordinating the legal work surrounding real estate transactions. After divesting herself of the Chicago properties in 2004, Leslie developed a commercial mall in Shawnigan Lake, BC, and started two businesses in the mall. From 2004 to 2009, when Leslie sold both businesses and the mall she, in conjunction with her managers, supervised over 30 employees. Since 2009, Leslie has been pursuing her passions for knowledge and teaching by serving as a life coach to clients all over the world. She now brings her ample energy and creativity back to her roots with Enlightened Dispute Resolution, a professional mediation and arbitration service. Leslie's background as both an advocate for labor and a business owner render her uniquely qualified to understand and address the issues of both labor and management. Leslie's philosophy has always been "win win" and she truly believes that with an open mind and sufficient creativity, focus and commitment, every dispute is capable of a resolution that satisfies all parties' needs.

Rates: $150 per hour or $700 per day plus expenses for travel.
