Biographical Notes:
Viki Scott is the Principal of Scott & Associates Inc., a Human Resources Consulting firm which provides solutions to Canadian based companies with a concentration in Labour Management Relations, Health & Safety Compliance, Absence & Attendance Management, Business Continuity Planning and Conflict Management.
Viki has an extensive history with both the public and private sectors, primarily in unionized environments. Her leadership positions include the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Workplace Health and Safety Agency, OPSEU and Extendicare, Canada In addition, she was a National Practice Leader at Watson Wyatt and a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP specializing in labour relations, occupational health & safety, absence and attendance and human resource management consulting. She also, has had the privilege of being a Senior Advisor to an Ontario Cabinet Minister.
Viki has particular expertise in union management relations and collective bargaining strategies. She has developed strong relationships with the various government Labour Agencies and has an in-depth knowledge of federal and provincial workplace statutes. She has presented cases before the Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal, Labour Relations Board, Grievance Settlement Board and the Human Rights Commission. Viki has worked with a wide range of Bargaining Agents such as CAW, OPSEU, CUPE, AMAPCEO, USWA, UFCW, PSAC, OLBEU, SEIU and the Teamsters Union.
Viki Scott has an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science, Occupational Health. Viki also holds a post graduate certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University. She is a Registered Rehabilitation Professional, in addition to being an Associate Professor at York University in the York/Seneca Rehabilitation Counseling Program..
Viki has held executive positions with the North York Board of Health, the Toronto Hospital Community Advisory Board, the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and is presently on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Disability Management Coordinators. She is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario, the Society for Human Resources Management and the ADR Institute of Canada and the ADR Institute of Ontario.
