Biographical Notes:
Wayne Plenert operates Peacebuilder Mediation (peacebuildermediation.com) as a law practice restricted to mediating (peacemaking); chairing meetings for groups dealing with conflict (peacekeeping); and presenting workshops and courses in leadership and conflict (peacebuilding). Wayne obtained his Masters of Laws in ADR from Osgoode Hall in 2002, and his Provincial Instructor Diploma from VCC in 2004.
As a mediator, Wayne works with personal injury, family, workplace, human rights and Worksafe BC, wrongful dismissal, other civil litigation, and has had files in the British Columbia, Alberta and Yukon jurisdictions. Family mediations have included prenuptial issues, children, support, property, estates, and family business disputes.
Wayne’s style of mediation is to have parties negotiate to resolution with one-off issues and look to transformation of process and structure in situations with on-going relationships or connections.
Wayne is active on the Board of the BC Roster Society, and has provided workshops through that organization.
